 Two jobs in the frame today, one led by John W and one by Jeremy.

John W:

 Afternoon Broadway team, Vin, Andy, Simon and myself. The task tomorrow is to replace the wobbly steps on a stile that was installed about two years ago. We can get access to the field below but it will still mean an approximate 300m walk up hill with the tools and materials.  

I have put aside a couple of uprights for the top step and I’m hoping we can reuse the existing top step uprights on the bottom step. I have the necessary fixings

If we have time, we can also recce the floating bridge that is nearby and needs new handrails and possibly extending.

  




Jeremy:
Team Willersey ( Myself , Vin, Mike , Pat & David) will be repairing a KG at Warners Farm , Willersey ( see attached) with replacement of rotten strike post and another post . I hope to reuse the rails . 

Mike . Access is through Warners Farm and will brief you in detail tomorrow . Vin, parking is available in front of the farmhouse and I will give the Farmer Bill Painter a heads up . Don’t think Gearald will be there much before 1000 hrs .

Loading . Subject to agreement with John when we load tomorrow I hope we can fit everything on Gerald for both tasks so that Mike can come straight over to Warners Farm after dropping off Broadway team & kit / materials .

Interesting project to remove a ladder stile and replace with a traditional step stile on Seven Wells (HCC55) between Chipping Camden and Snowshill.  After some initial destructive work to get the old stile out and some hefty digging into stoney ground the job was completed by a small team of Mike, Vin, John W, John B, Pat, Dave and Lawrence.

Two teams today: Team 1 (Jeremy, John W, Simon, John B, Pat and Dave) went back to Willersey to put in the second kissing gate on Willersey Hill fields. Clearly practice makes perfect as the gate was put in in record time despite the stoney ground. After pictures awaiting fence to marry up   Team 2 (team of 2) was Mike and Lawrence.  Two tasks: fitting a grid over a ditch in the run up to a field gate at Greystones Farm; the second was installing a way marker on HCC29 below the abbey fields in Chipping Camden.  Grid protection for ditch by gate Chipping Camden waymarker
