 A bright sunny day for clearing a couple of the footpaths up by Kingsdale Court (BY536, BY539 & BY 541).  The team was John W, Jeremy, Mike, Simon, Pat and Lawrence.  The paths were fairly tight so John and Jeremy went in with the hedge trimmers, Simon with the loppers and strimmer, Lawrence with the brushcutter and Pat with a rake.  Mike struggled to get Stella 1 to keep going but it kept on cutting out.


No pictures but all paths cleared back and the arisings pushed to the sides.  There was a lot of loose barbed wire and other fence kit as well as left over rubble in places from the building work which made brushcutting and use of stella risky.


Work was completed by 11ish so we had a discussion about the options for the depot over coffee.  Lawrence suggested the team visited the Toddington site option to see for themselves prior to the meeting on the 17th so we all went on a road trip.

On the way back we dropped Stella back off for repair.

Interesting project to remove a ladder stile and replace with a traditional step stile on Seven Wells (HCC55) between Chipping Camden and Snowshill.  After some initial destructive work to get the old stile out and some hefty digging into stoney ground the job was completed by a small team of Mike, Vin, John W, John B, Pat, Dave and Lawrence.

Two teams today: Team 1 (Jeremy, John W, Simon, John B, Pat and Dave) went back to Willersey to put in the second kissing gate on Willersey Hill fields. Clearly practice makes perfect as the gate was put in in record time despite the stoney ground. After pictures awaiting fence to marry up   Team 2 (team of 2) was Mike and Lawrence.  Two tasks: fitting a grid over a ditch in the run up to a field gate at Greystones Farm; the second was installing a way marker on HCC29 below the abbey fields in Chipping Camden.  Grid protection for ditch by gate Chipping Camden waymarker
